Hello! Whatever has brought you to Steg’o Child Therapy, my hope is to remind you that you are not alone.

As a child-centered and trauma-informed therapist, I believe that play is the natural language of children—a powerful way for them to express thoughts and emotions that they may not yet have the words to share. Through creative and symbolic play, children can safely explore and work through complex feelings, helping them make sense of their inner world. With over a decade of caring for and advocating on behalf of children who have faced trauma and a variety of unique challenges, I bring both deep empathy and well-rounded knowledge to my work. I am passionate about helping children feel truly seen, heard, and understood—not just for their behaviors, but for the underlying needs those behaviors are communicating.

My therapeutic approach centers on building strong, trusting relationships and honoring the essential role of the parent-child or caregiver-child bond in a child’s healing and development. I support caregivers in understanding their child’s actions as meaningful communication rather than misbehavior. By exploring the brain-body connection and fostering playful, connection-based interactions, I guide families in co-regulating and developing emotional awareness together. I also prioritize collaboration with other professionals—such as teachers, healthcare providers, and specialists—so that each child is supported by a cohesive, compassionate team. Grounded in both clinical insight and real-world caregiving, my work is driven by the belief that healing begins in safe, attuned relationships where children and their caregivers feel supported, empowered, and connected.
